The StratBIC method rests on seven governing principles that frame every engagement, from initial diagnosis to final roadmap. They guarantee the same standard of rigor regardless of the mandate's nature or size.
Understanding Deeper. Seeing Further. Deciding Smarter. — StratBIC's credo, expressed below as our mission, vision, and values.
To equip business leaders, institutions, and organisations across Côte d'Ivoire and West Africa with the rigorous, evidence-based strategic and economic intelligence they need to understand their environment deeply, and to turn that understanding into clear, executable decisions that strengthen competitiveness and build durable value.
To be West Africa's most trusted independent strategy and business intelligence partner — seeing further than the immediate horizon to guide leaders through the region's most consequential decisions, in mining and natural resources and beyond.
Six principles that turn understanding and foresight into sound decisions — applied in every engagement, without exception.
We ground every judgment in verified evidence, not assumption.
Our advice carries no conflicts of interest, product bias, or hidden agenda.
Client information and strategic assets are protected absolutely, always.
We build strategy with our clients' teams, not for them, so it survives contact with reality.
We name the hard trade-offs and take a clear position, rather than hedging.
We measure success by what gets executed, not what gets presented.
Decisions and recommendations are grounded in verified data and rigorous analysis, not assumption.
A structured, phase-gated deployment of proven strategy frameworks (e.g. PESTEL, Five Forces, SWOT, Ansoff, Scenario Planning, Balanced Scorecard/OKRs, among others) matched to the client's specific situation, not a one-size-fits-all deck.
Strategy is built with the client's team, not delivered at them, ensuring ownership and executability.
The firm is committed to surfacing genuine trade-offs and making clear recommendations, not hedging with vague options.
Every engagement is designed to end in an actionable roadmap, not just analysis.
Strict protection of client information and strategic assets throughout and after the engagement.
Advice is free of conflicts of interest, product bias, or hidden agendas.
François Joseph N'GATTA BLEY brings nearly twenty years of progressive experience in the mining industry to every engagement — first-hand knowledge of mining operations, business strategy, project development, corporate finance, operational excellence, and stakeholder engagement.
His academic and professional training was built specifically around StratBIC's five practice pillars: an MBA in Strategic Management & Competitive Intelligence from the École de Guerre Économique in Paris, conferring the professional designation of Competitive Intelligence Expert (France's top-ranked program in the field); a Mining Industry Management credential from the University of Toronto, focused on exploration and resource/reserve studies; a certification from MIT Sloan Executive Education on the strategic implications of artificial intelligence for business; the Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA®) credential; and a Master 2 in Law, Economy and Management (MAE) from the Université de Poitiers. He also holds the Senior Business Strategy Professional (SBSP™) certification and is a CMC-GI Member.
This combination — world-class multidisciplinary education, international exposure across Canada, France, and the United States, and direct operating experience in mining — is what allows StratBIC to deliver advice that is practical, data-driven, and globally informed, not theoretical.
StratBIC is led by its founder and draws, engagement by engagement, on a curated network of independent specialist associates — financial analysts, sector experts, local-market advisors — mobilised to fit the exact scope of each mandate. This is a common, deliberate model among boutique advisory practices: it delivers agility and precisely the right expertise for each engagement, rather than a fixed structure applied to every mandate regardless of fit. This network is actively growing; associates will be introduced here as engagements progress.
